Most of the other fine nib or bullet nib markers are shaped just like a bullet, hence the name, however, on closer inspection, to me the Promarker nib is shaped ever so slightly differently. Highly recommended. This holds true for both the professional grade watercolors, as well as the student grade. Long story short I really like these brushes and recommend them. The brushes are hand-made with high quality Kolinsky sable hair, Birchwood handles and seamless nickel ferrules. What I like about this box is there are six mixing wells. For most of the sets in Europe, the Brush and Promarkers are the same or very similar prices, only on the larger sets do they start to increase. Do you find it more convenient to turn around the box, placing the palette in front of the pan section to ease the access? As you can see there were a lot of sets that I couldn’t find on the Amazon US page, however as and when I am able to add more for the US I will of course do that. Like I say, not all of the pigments behave in this way and you will get to know the pigments it does happen to the more you use them. I wish the set included another brown and left out the purple (I almost never use purple, but that's just me), and I haven't found them to be particularly fantastic for very thin lines such as in grass, eyelashes, or thin tree branches. the overwhelming thing that I noticed about all nibs of the Winsor and Newton Pro and Brush markers is the flow of ink and beautiful coverage that you get. You can definitely flip it around so that the mixing wells are towards you. There are however, a top tier I guess you would refer to them as, of markers that have been around for quite a while.
